State of Oregon

The Oregonian newspaper sponsored a contest to redesign the state flag in time for Oregon's 150th birthday. The designs were successful, the effort to change the flag was not. This study delivers a dozen important lessons learned.

Mesa, Arizona

State of Utah

Utah's state flag is generally indistinguishable from half of all American state flags. The Salt Lake Tribune polled readers and NAVA helped organize the search for a new flag. The winning design was #25.

Kansas City, Missouri

The Kansas City Star asked NAVA to help with a contest to design a new flag for a city with a record number of previous designs. The winning design was #18.
